Korean facial toners
As with all other skincare products, there is a wide variety of Korean toners. Choose them according to your skin needs. If your skin lacks moisture, use products that contain moisturising ingredients. If your skin is irritated, choose toners with antibacterial properties or those containing acids. For sensitive skin, be sure to choose gentle, unscented products with soothing ingredients. With all the Korean facial toners, you're sure to find one that suits your complexion.
Although we are talking about toners, it is important to note that Koreans sometimes like to call them toners, and sometimes they are slightly different products, so it is important to clarify the differences.
In fact, looking at different sources, it seems that tonics and toners are hard to distinguish. It is said that the original purpose of a toner was to restore the correct pH of the skin, to revitalise and tone the complexion, and to remove the impurities that still remain on the skin after cleansing with a facial cleanser. Over time, the composition of toners has become richer and richer, so that toners now also have moisturising and brightening properties. What is the difference between toners then?
Toners usually also have functions such as gently exfoliating the skin, intensively moisturising the skin, or combating acne, blackheads, etc.
A toner should be used both in the morning and in the evening. If one of the toners you use contains acids, you can use it in the evenings, while in the mornings you can use a simple moisturising toner or a toner with antioxidant properties. Before using a toner, make sure you wash your face clean. After the toner, you can continue your routine with a serum or essence. In a 10-step Korean beauty routine, toner is usually the fourth step.
