NEW YORK — French skinnies and cream have hit record high levels for the month of July, as French skinceuticals company Auberge-Henri Sans Souci announced its third consecutive record-setting month.
The French skinfoods company said its sales in July rose 9.4 percent compared to a year earlier, the most in a decade, with sales up 12.5 percent year over year.
Sales in the first six months of 2018 were up 15.6 percent year-over-year, compared to the same period last year.
Auberge Sans Soucs sales were up 20.5% year-on-year.
Its shares rose 2.5 points to 4,977 euros, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index gained 2.7 points to 2,813.
The company is the latest to report strong sales this year, as it has struggled with a number of ingredients, including a shortage of vitamin C and a shortage in vitamin A, a common ingredient used in skin creams.
Its stock has been on a tear this year due to its sales growth, which has accelerated in the wake of the Brexit vote in the UK, as well as the introduction of its own skincream.
Its sales rose by about 11% year over last year, according to Bloomberg data, compared with about 7% in the second quarter of 2018.
